Fathers' Day...

Ok, its not exactly Fathers' Day in some parts of the world, but anw, just yea its Fathers' Day here. So, here there seems that there's little hype about Fathers' Day, as least well relative to Mothers' Day. I think there was this article in the newspaper saying something like, "Fathers' Day?"...but anw, yea, i feel that its just as significant...its a good thing to be able to appreciate our parents. I guess its very important too, to appreciate the people closest to ourselves...and i guess, no parent in the world is perfect and there are times when we won't be on the best of terms, but we should rmb like stuff they must have at least done for us, and we often take for granted the little that our parents do i guess, however, we never know what will happen in the future, so we should just show our appreciation and love each day for our parents just as we should make the most of everyday. Of course, i guess, we should love everyone the same just as we are brothers and sisters in Christ but in a sense, i feel that we can't take that love to too much of an extreme; so in that way we should love our parents but without compromising on our love for the other people around us i guess. This love may seem sort of conditional but, i'm just saying that just because we love our parents which should still do what is right i guess in for example in the sense that we should obey Christ more than anything one else. Yet, i doesn't mean we don't love a person who in a way causes us to compromise on something. In the end i guess it comes down this, that we should respect our parents and obey them and really show our appreciation for them despite the many rough times we probably had and that love should not be in any way a stumbling block and should not be based the things they've done but based upon the fact that not matter what the situation is, whether its seems like our parents sometimes don't understand us or seem not to care, that actually whatever its seems truly other than God, our parents are the only ones who truly love us.

The other more important thing i'd like to say is that more than our earthly fathers, we all share a father and that is our Heavenly Father, this we must really bear in mind. The even more amazing part about this is that, our Father in Heaven is perfect. We should love and appreciate God more than even our earthly fathers, for God in the greatest act of love send His son to earth to die on the cross for our sins so that we are saved. The way to do that is really to live for Him each and every day. And, also one other thing is that, we should also be thankful to God for the parents He has given us here on earth even as we, realise that God is truly the Father of all.

So, i guess, today, i'm really sort of glad that we get the chance to celebrate Fathers' day, and show our appreciation to our Fathers'. So, anw here's how my family celebrated Fathers' day today. First, of course, we went to church and after the service, the kids distributed presents for the Fathers'. Then, we went out for lunch, nothing extravagant but a decent place we went for lunch. Oh ya, and although today we had a couple of mishaps, things still turned out fine i guess. On the whole, even with all that stuff going on, i guess, the lunch was not bad. Anw, so we bought my dad a card lah, haha. And, my mum ordered like a dvd all the way from USA. The dvd is on this show called, MOST...its actually a touching true story about how a father who operated a draw bridge which needed to be let down each time to let the train pass, and one day, somehow his son fell somewhere under the bridge and as fate would have it a train came along, and as difficult as the decision was the father let down the bridge crushing his son but saving the people on the train, and this changed the lives of people on the train who realised what had happened.

So yea, anw thats about all i can say for tonite gtg already....so yup, Happy Fathers' Day...!!!
