UEFA Euro 2008...

Yea, as everyone would know, soccer's back in the form of The UEFA Euro 2008...and you can bet i've been keeping up with the tournament. This year's tournament is in Austria and Switzerland, really beautiful countries. So, ya anw, i've been watching since the start of the tournament on 7th, although i haven't been watching them live coz of the unearthly hours. But, i've been watching the matches during the day, the highlights and replays. This is well one of the things that is occupying some of my time at the moment, other than homework of course..haha. There've been really good games so far in Holland thrashing Italy, Portugal already making it to the knockout round with wins against Turkey and Czech Republic owing to Ronaldo and Deco, Spain with their trouncing of Russia, by a hat-trick from David Villa. Germany also is looking pretty solid. But, anw...

As you can see i support FRANCE..yea...the reason?...Well, Zinedine Zidane has always been my favourite player and he happens to be in France, also, the first time i started watching UEFA Euro, he helped France clinch the title. Then, at the world cup in 2002, they were favourites. Plus, they came so close at the 2006FIFA World Cup. France also have the attacking flair, although it is being hampered by the defensive tactics of the manager Raymond Domenech.
Even, though they have had a slow start i believe that they'll bounce back against Holland, and i believe they can go on and be the champions of Europe...

But, the way i'd like France to play is as follows: (from left to right)

Strikers: Henry, Trezeguet

Attacking midfield: Nasri

Attacking Wingers: Malouda, Ribery

Defensive midfield: viera

Defenders: Abidal, Gallas, Thuram& Sagnol

Goalkeeper: Coupet

Yepp, thats how i feel they would do well, with a 4-1-2-1-2 formation and all their best players... So anw, i'm enjoying the coverage of UEFA Euro 2008...just wish that had more different programmes in the dedicated channels, sometimes gets a bit boring....but, anw really love soccer..got passion for it man...haha. So, anw, GO FRANCE...!!!!!!!!!!!.....GO...!!!!!!!!!!!!.....but for now i gtg back to studying and doing homework...sigh....still, i'm gonna keep watching...haha....
